A less than perfect weekend in Medicine Hat

Ethan qualified in the #1 spot in Pro Street and pulled off a win in the King of the Hill on "Dorothy" but Sunday didn't go so well. The Pro Street turbocharged GSX-R1000 stumbled off the line in the semi-finals resulting in a narrow loss. In the Street class Ethan had a nuncharacteristically poor reaction time in round 3 which left him to pack up a bit early. Click the image for more information.

Double win in Ashcoft!

An outstanding weekend for Ethan at the CMDRA's second stop at Eagle Motorplex, Ashcroft, B.C. Ethan took the win in Pro Street and set low E.T. and top MPH of the event 7.93 /185. Mixed results in Edmonton

Ethan had some very solid runs in Pro Street but failed to take the win, spinning the tire hard off the starting line. A win at Race City's Saturday Night Drag's

Only days after taking delivery of his new 2010 Suzuki Hayabusa "Dorothy" , Ethan was making runs at the local dragstrip! First was some shakedown passes at the Street Legal event Friday July 2nd. Then it was back down the very next night for a C.D.R.A. bracket race under the lights. Consistent passes landed Ethan in the winners circle.

Highs and Lows at Race 1 in Ascroft B.C.

The tricky surface of Ashcroft's Eagle Motorplex proved too much to tame for Ethan in Pro Street. He was either pulling huge wheelies or spinning the tire. Qualifying third with an 8.15 E.T. and losing in the semi-finals were not the results he was looking for. In Street Ethan was aboard "Snow White" for one last time. Qualifying #1 and running within a few hundredths of a second to his 9.60 dial in all day landed him in the winners circle yet again.

Barkley, now the Fastest in Canada!

On September 13th, 2009 Ethan Barkley became the fastest Canadian in history on a Pro Street Bike. Ethan was gunning for the record while competing at the CMDRA finals at Castrol Raceway near Edmonton. He staged his 500HP '06 Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the semi finals of the RCC Turbo’s Pro Street Series last month for what would be a history making pass. The run was smooth, and the bike tracked straight down the track. The scoreboards flashed, 7.653 @ 194.59 mph! Photo by Laura Barkley
